Scotland - Dog breeds list

Scotland is a country that is a part of the United Kingdom. It has a total area of 78.387 square kilometres and a population of around 5.3 million inhabitants. Scotland is bordered by England to the south, North Sea to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west and by the North Channel along with Irish Sea to the south-west. Its capital and second largest city is Edinburgh one of Europe’s largest financial centres.

There are 9 breeds that originate in Scotland of which five of them are terrier breeds. This terrier breeds (Skye,Cairn,Dandie Dinmont, West Highland White Terrier and the Scottish Terrier) were all grouped under the name of Skye Terrier. Probably the most famous of the group is the Scottish Terrier and im saying this because many of this breed were owned by celebrities including the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt as well as the 43rd President George W.Bush. This dog has appeared even in the game Monopoly as a playing piece.
